Jordan’s first iconic moment came in 1982, when he hit the game-winning shot against the Georgetown Hoyas in the NCAA Championship game. The shot sealed the victory for Jordan and the Tar Heels, and it is still considered one of the greatest moments in college basketball history.
Another iconic moment came in 1985, when Jordan won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest. His performance was simply unbelievable, as he soared through the air and threw down some of the most impressive dunks ever seen. This moment cemented Jordan’s status as one of the best athletes in the world.
In 1989, Jordan hit perhaps his most famous shot of all time. With just seconds remaining in Game Five of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals, Jordan nailed a jump shot over Cleveland Cavaliers’ defender Craig Ehlo. The shot gave the Chicago Bulls a one-point lead, and they would go on to win the series.
Jordan’s final iconic moment came in 1998, when he hit a game-winning jump shot against the Utah Jazz in Game Six of the NBA Finals. This shot gave the Bulls their sixth championship in eight years, and it cemented Jordan’s legacy as one of the greatest basketball players of all time.
